Holy Trinity’s

Young adult ministry

The Practice is Holy Trinity’s ministry to young adults and their weekly gathering is called Vespers and it meets on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:00pm during the academic year.

Over the last four years, we have gathered together to drink tea, eat toast, build community, study Scripture and live out five core values:

  • Unity Over Uniformity:

Authentic, healthy community does not demand uniformity. It celebrates unity in diversity and the truth that we don’t need to be the same to be together.

  • Hard Truths Over Handy Lies:

The truth is sometimes hard to hear but, no matter how challenging or painful, we would rather be challenged by truth than settle for comfortable lies.

  • Questions Over Answers:

We want to be people who celebrate good questions instead of settling for bad answers.

  • Sincerity Over Sentimentality:

We want to hear what you really think — not what you have been taught you should think.

  • Conversation Over Confrontation:

It’s easier to shout than it is to truly listen. We want to learn the lost art of conversation and be people who truly learn from one another.

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in then join us as we wrestle with Scripture, tell our stories and be honest with each other about our doubts and questions. We want to be the kind of community in which you’ll find a home no matter where you are on your faith journey.
